Olympic Distance Triathlon

Swim (1500 meters) - The two lap triangular course in the warm water of the Caribbean Sea, just off The Buccaneer's Mermaid Beach.

Bike (40 K/25 Miles) - The picturesque two loop ride leaves the grounds of the hotel on the golf cart path, turns left and heads for the East End of St. Croix, makes a loop of Cramer's Park, travels on the South Shore Rd over Lowry Hill, rides past the entrance of The Buccaneer, turns right at Southgate for another Lowry Hill loop, and re-enters The Buccaneer.

Run (10K/6.2 Miles) - The two loop run will take place totally in the lush grounds of The Buccaneer. The route travels along the jogging trail and golf course.

The Caribbean Classic Triathlon will no longer have a pro purse and has become reduced in scope, and will only be run as a small, local event.

Streets are closed, and stores and restaurants stay open late, with many offering special discounts.
