Hotel 1829
Book a stay at the very intimate, romantic Hotel 1829 and enjoy such luxuries as private baths, air conditioning and cable television in the rooms, and a newly restored tropical garden perfect for large events like weddings and reunions. Even with such comfortable, modernized accommodations, we're able to establish a feeling of the past with antique items and decorations in each room. Also visit the hotel's bar, which was converted long ago after being used as a kitchen for the old mansion. The bar is currently open between the hours of 3PM - 11PM, Monday through Saturday, and is well known for its drinks, backgammon, and relaxing atmosphere! The historic hotel was completed in 1829, after being designed by an Italian architect in a Spanish motif and constructed over the course of 10 years by the hands of Danish and African laborers.
