All Yacht & More

Yacht Haven Grande, the sweetest slice of ooh-la-la this side of Monaco, is embracing celebrities and "nobodies" alike. The first of Island Global Yachting's world-class marina facilities is setting the standard for waterfront grandiosity right on Charlotte Amalie. This ultra-luxe dining, shopping and entertainment hub, real estate mogul Andrew Farkas' well-thought venture into the USVI, is attracting residents and visitors the world over to a new concept of fun, flair and high style.

This development for mega-yachts features an advanced marina and upland facility, welcoming high rollers with in-slip services such as high-tech fueling, WiFi, black water pump-out and waste oil removal, side-to berthing and round-the-clock security. Services such as nautical provisioning and gear, laundry, florist and catering are available. Additional conveniences in the main marina building include a customs and immigrations area, an ATM and a computer center. The Club at Yacht Haven Grande will offer additional perks to its members (including private dining and personal amenities).

There's also plenty of activity and recreation for those of us who may not get there in our own floating dream boat. Yacht Haven Grande also features a number of waterside eateries (including a fine-dining restaurant offering panoramic views of the harbor and beyond) and high-end retail shops such as Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Roberto Coin, BCBG Max Azria and more. Also part of this waterfront concept: 12 condominiums, a putting green, two tennis courts, a swimming pool, a volleyball court and an events area for open-air shows. Coming up: a boutique hotel so guests can soak up the Yacht Haven experience.

It's the boating lifestyle taken to a higher level and offered to all who come by: stroll, have a nibble, buy some baubles and dream a little island dream. In fact, Yacht Haven Grande is almost a destination unto itself, yet set apart by the warmth of St. Thomas. —S.M.
