Air-conditioned VITRAN buses run both in the city and rural areas. On St. John, VITRAN buses run between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay. The fare is $1. Exact change is required. For information on St. John routes, call 340-774-0165. On St. Thomas, city buses run between the Schneider Regional Medical Center area west to town from 6:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Country buses travel between town and Red Hook every two hours from 5 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. Fares for city buses are 75 cents, and country buses are $1. Exact change is required. For information on St. Thomas routes, call 340-774-5678. On St. Croix, bus service between Christiansted and Frederiksted runs at regular intervals between 5 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. daily, except Sunday. Fares are $1 for those under 55, and $0.55 for seniors.
